Terms & Conditions
These terms apply when you use betsyschwartz.com and when you apply for, book, or take part in any session, program, course, or workshop offered by Free Spirit Wellness, the practice of Betsy Schwartz (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the site or joining a program, you agree to these terms.
1. Wellness, not medical care
Reiki, energy work, chakra work, shamanic journeying, and spiritual or lifestyle coaching are complementary wellness practices. They are not medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment, and they do not replace care from a licensed professional. We do not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition, and we do not prescribe or recommend changes to any medication. Please keep working with your doctor, therapist, or other providers, and seek emergency help if you are in crisis. In the United States you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
2. Your experience is your own
Everyone's experience is different. We share what past clients have experienced, but we make no promise or guarantee of any particular result. You are responsible for your own choices, actions, and wellbeing during and after any session or program.
3. Applications and enrollment
Some programs, such as Birth Your Own Beliefs, begin with an application and a conversation. Applying does not guarantee a place, and we may decline an application if a program does not seem like the right fit. Enrollment is confirmed once we agree on it together and any required payment is made.
4. Payments and refunds
Prices and payment options are shared before you enroll. Refund, cancellation, and rescheduling terms for each program or session are given to you in writing before you pay, and those program terms apply. If you have a question about a payment, email us.
5. Sessions, group circles, and recordings
- Please arrive on time. Missed private sessions may be rescheduled as described in your program terms.
- Group circles are a shared, confidential space. Please keep what others share private, and treat everyone with respect. We may remove anyone who is disrespectful or unsafe to the group.
- Some group sessions may be recorded for participants who miss them. Recordings are for enrolled participants only and may not be shared or reposted.
6. Program materials
Workbooks, videos, prompts, meditations, and other materials are for your personal use. You may not copy, resell, share, or publish them without our written permission.
7. Text messages
If you opt in to texts, you agree to receive messages about your application, calls, sessions, and programs, and, only if you separately opt in, occasional marketing messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
8. Website use
Please do not misuse the site, try to access it in unauthorized ways, or submit false information. Content on the site is provided for general information and may change at any time.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Free Spirit Wellness and Betsy Schwartz are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or participation in any session or program. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the session or program involved.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when they last changed.
